No way, as long as it does what you need it to. I've hade my last tv for round 10 years...and ir wasn't even flat lol I don't watch tv, pretty much just movies n what not online

Lol seems my 55 LCD Samsung is outdated already...

So after much debating and browsing for the last couple months, I have decided to go with the Sharp LC-60UD27U, It was between a few others, But this one one it, Nicer clean look then the others, And is a trusted brand with great quality and top notch image, That took for ever to decide, Just kept going back and forth between the Sharp and LG 60LB5200 on which one i wanted all damned week, But i decided on the Sharp, Glad its over too.

I dont plan on using glasses for 3d or eve that at all, just the best resolution i can get with what the PS4 is capable of, No cpu monitor or 4k, Just a good tv in the range of 40-60inches. I have herd 120hz is the way to go, But ive also herd 120hz is a waste for Ps4 gaming on a tv, Something about it creating more input lag or something, Its gonna be 1080p, But man, SOOOO many different opinions on everything makes my choice super hard, Ive been looking for the last 5 months on solid answers, But nothing concrete.

I plan on getting COD: Advanced Warfare, And Dying Light, Ive already got GTA V(Of Course) Black Flag, and a few others And plan on getting more, But id like to extract the best resolution i can without going crazy with the pounds.

120 is requirement for good stereoscopic 3D.

Even if you do not plan to use 3D, 120 refresh rate is still a real plus. It's not just a fake number like ambiguoulsy measured dynamic contrast ratio, brightness etc.

If a particular moni has 120 Hz in specs, take it as a serious advantage. It will help in gaming, when you want super smooth visuals at high frame-rates.

For example, if you plan to play competitive first person shooters (cod cs etc) and you get a super duper video card which gives you like 200 fps, if you monitor is limited to 60hz, all that extra framerate is wasted - the monitor simply wont be able to show it - it will show at 60 fps.

Also, Does anyone no the difference between 60hz and 120hz when it comes to tvs while gaming? Ive looked it up but i really cant find anything thats solid, Is double the Hz worth the extra money or what?

Im also looking for a better or best HDMI cable for the PS4, One for giving maximum clarity and what not. I here alot of the more expensive cables are a huge ripoff, And there all practically the same, But ive no idea, I hear so many different things all the time.

Given how big Amazon is, It prolly does, Worht taking a look, I was one there today, And there are some pretty good deals. Im currently looking at the Seiki 4k 50inch tv for 450, But i dunno if i should get a 4k tv simply for the PS4.

Id like a 4k Tv, But i here you cant tell the difference unless the tv is above 50inches, The cheapest 4k i think right now is that Seiki 40 for like £300. And i also think for the most part, Or atleast someone like me, That a Smart Tv is fkn stupid, i have a computer, Phone and a PS4, So i dont need any of its smart features.

@BR2: As for as i know Amazon ships globally. What country are you in? Im willing to bet almost all 4k tvs come with all the smart TV crap just so they can charge more money. I know how you feel. Who the heck needs smart tv apps when you have a PS4?

And so far I have narrowed it down to 8 tvs, pretty much in my price range, just very hard to choose, I am thinking bout a 4k though, I dunno though, I'd like the most up to date and in my price range, don't care bout all that smart tech n stuff just a normal dammed tv

@BR2: Your best bet is probably gonna be Amazon. Personally I'd recommend the Vizio brand or Panasonic.

I definetly dont plan to get 720p, Its 1080p or 4k, Nothing is really in 4k at the moment, Nr am i in a hurry to get 4k, There not exactly cheap, I can afford one, But id rather not spend that much, Ive also herd plasmas are good, But ive also herd there the worse, He say she say, Its so difficult to choose.

Id like to get a Samsung curved 4k tv, But those are bloody expensive, I dont want to spend over £600, Id like to stay in the £300 area though, Nothing fancy like all that smart stuff n apps n what not, Just a REGULAR tv, just great resolution for maximum clarity for the PS4. Ive been looking for the past 2 months, gettin a little cross over it.

Get plasma. Much better contrast than LCD, better screen uniformity, better response time.

I would not get anything less than 1080, because soon 4k will be the norm, and you don't want to be on a bloody 720p screen by then.

So i am currently in the market for a new tv, But Strictly for gaming, When i get my PS4 in the next few weeks, Ive no idea what to get, 1080p, 120hz, 240hz, 4k etc, Again strictly for gaming, Between 40 and 65inches, No less and no more, Any suggestions?..
