This mid-engine Vette was spied testing at a facility near the Nurburgring. It shows us unseen details of the cars shape and design.
The car has a low pointy nose, a throwback to the C3 Corvette, and a shoulder line that rises to the rear. The front bumper air intakes look similar to those on the current Corvette ZR1. The shape of the lights share a lot with the current Corvette even if they are just placeholders.
There have been talks of the new Corvette using a range of active aero elements also heavily focusing on lightweight materials. The engine range will include a few options, starting with an upgraded version of the 6.2-liter LT1 V8 that is said to produce around 500hp.
Many unconfirmed rumors also talk about Chevy adding a new flat-plane crank V8 that’s going to be offered in both naturally aspirated and twin-turbo guises.
Bunch of pictures here.
