Today's autocar makes interesting read. A full test of the new McLaren 650S Spider...what a car! 0-100 in 6.3 and 0-150 in 13.9 secs on a day when the temp was 27c in the UK which obviously doesn't favour a turbo car. Dry Lap time "on worn rubber" round Millbrook matches the Ferrari 458 Speciale, which is a track special and the wet lap time is 6.8 secs faster on the deteriorating wet circuit. In fact I scanned the wet lap times, which have been getting progressively slower over the years and the McLaren beats the 991 Turbo S by nearly 2 secs in the wet, which is most impressive...a poor drag factor of 0.36 perhaps explains why acceleration tails off a fair bit over 170 MPH. Takes 4.8 secs to go from 170 to 180...overall though some car for what is not a Hypercar..
