New Hall of Fame standings and 507 performance estimates

Today I decided to refresh Fastestlaps performance estimates. Many new cars have been added since the last refresh, which meant many new interesting performance numbers - 507 to be exact.

For less eagle-eyed Fastestlaps visitors, I can remind that estimated performance figures, which include 1/8, 1/4, 1/2, full mile and 1 km standing acceleration, can be found in "Calculations" section in the cars specification sheet. Some cars have more and some less estimates - it depends on how much data we have for any given car. Estimates are not shown if there is real data in the same discipline.

Another thing I did and what was way overdue, is I updated the "Hall of Fame" page (About -> Hall of Fame) which holds a Top10 listing of best performing cars in Fastestlaps.

This new Top10 is very similar to how it was before, with the exception of Dodge Viper ACR and McLaren MP4-12C which are newcomers to the Hall of Fame and populate 5th and 6th place respectively.

Audi R8s and Lamborghini Gallardos are now pushed to the bottom of the list. I think it's time for Audi to implant it's magnificent twin turbo 4.0 V8 in R8 or develop a brand new chassis for R8 and Gallardo altogether. These cars are beginning to show their age.

@FL

I think you should allow them, simply because they ARE in 1st place( Or 2nd and 3rd), even if only a few cars are tested, 11 and under should be sufficient enuff to do it, If 1st, it still is a lap record till someone dethrones it. 1 lap i can understand, even 2( Aka ACR Vs GT2)

@BR2

You don't see all 1st places 2nd and 3rd because tracks with less than 10 (or 12, i don't remember) laptimes are not counted in.

You don't want to award a first place prize for 1st position in a track with only 1 or few laptimes.

I don't think the twin-turbo V8 engine in R8/Gallardo would be a gut innovation, the n/a V10 is as well performing as it is. The V10 just needs an upgrade. 600 ponies would be nice for the next Gallardo and R8 GT. And I love the sound of the V10! It tells you it's a true supercar with a soul ;)

@MXN
You've already posted this caricature, so again? If you want to annoy GT-R fanboys and excite haters, I really no fancy reading all that crap. Not a very wise deed.

Yeah!
New "Hall of Fame"!

@MXN
What is your problem with the GT-R?
Or:
What do you think is wrong with it?/Why you do not like it?

OK, i have to admit that i think the exterior of the Nissan Skyline looks better but the GT-R looks great, too.
Also the 90.000€ GT-R is able to do faster laptimes than a 800.000€ Ferrari Enzo,Maserati MC 12,
500.000 € Porsche Carrera GT,... (I am talking about the MK 3)

I and a lot of other people think it is a great car.

I noticed in the Hall Of Fame, the ACR only lists 6 of its 9 1st place lap records, Only 3 of 5 for the 458, 5 of 6 for the GT2, 2 of 3 for the ZR1, 1 of 2 for the R8 V8, and 1 of 4 for the ZO6.

And should not the list go like this considering the 1st place spots?

9 Dodge Viper SRT-10 ACR
6 Porsche 997.1 911 GT2
5 Ferrari 458 Italia
5 Nissan My10 GT-R R35
4 Chevrolet Corvette C6 ZO6
3 Chevrolet Corvette C6 ZR1
2 McLaren MP4-12C
2 Audi R8 V8 4.2 FSI R-Tronic
1 Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 SL
1 Audi R8 V10 5.2 FSI Quattro

Is this just a correction error or are you not done updating?..
