AWD vs RWD, DSG vs stick shift, electronic gismos controlling the car vs unpluged driver controll.... yes 2.1s are a great achievment

2.1s for a car that weighs 800lbs LESS, has semis, 50bhp more, 70lb ft mor, and cost triple its price, and you think 2.1s is that great an achievement?

Says who? the Turbo Only beats it in the 1/4 mile by .2s, but traps at -2mph, and thats because the Turbo has 4wd and that PDK, but after that its Alllll GT2, so faster...i dont think so, and its not faster around track either.

It really bothers me that the new turbo is faster than this...

Oh, you are right about the 0-100-0 thing. I misread it. My bad.

First off, there are 2 things off with what you have said.

1. the GT2 does do the 1/4Mile in 11.4 (Motortrend) but it passes at 127.8mph, not 130mph+.

2. the GT2 does 0-100mph in 7.3s (MotorTrend) NOT 12.15, that is the 0-100-0 that you see up there.

The GT2 is fast as shite no doubt, but i cant name a car except the GTM LS7 that passes the 1/4mile at over 130mph with under 530bhp. and some GT2 have ben dynoed to have Way more power than advertised, some source dynoed 1 at 610bhp! but most of them have the claimed 530bhp. so thats clarrifyed.

Something is not right with the performance numbers in the 997 GT2 technical data. If this car does a quater mile in 11.4 (which Im sure it does if not better) Why does the o-100 MPH time state 12.15? It is obiously trapping 130+ mph in the quater mile...

What do u think the new porsche generation is called ... is it 991 or 998 ??

For all we know it might lol the 480bhp Turbo does 0-30mph in .9s tested by R&T TvRvZ edition lol

If you get under the 4s mark you can´t improve by 1 second with every new generation... following your logic the Porsche 2019 999Turbo should accelerate in 0.5s 0-100km/h ...

What is strange is how the 2004 turbo is less than a second slower than the 2008 turbo, that my freinds is slow progress and why it gave plenty of time for Nissan to be competetive with the Monster!!!

On the track you can call it dead even as one if faster on one while one is faster on the other, its a dead heat.
