(Tyson) We all love the Porsche. I've had several in my family. Sitting in and driving a porsche feels like the ultimate gokart. But what has ALWAYS frustrated ME about the Porsche is how it loses it's value over the years compared to the Ferrari. I wish my Dad had coughed up a couple more thousand dollars and bought Ferrari's insted of Porsche's..I wouldn't have to work today:) I have friends in the same situation:) Hypothetically if you could hold onto a Ferrari or a Porsche to sell in 30 years when you retire..you BETTER choose the Ferrari.

Viva Porsche Turbo S - a real man's supercar. Ferrari (unfortunately) a hairdresser's car! I recon 3.2 0-110 for the new Turbo S.

Porsche Turbo has always been the king of supercars...the Turbo S is no different. Nothing's going to touch it. Porsche have always made the Turbo S significantly faster than the Turbo.

fastestlaps what has your 1/4mile calculation tool to say about this turbo s??

porsche claimed a 11.3s to 200km/h for the turbo with pdk sport+ it did it in 10.4 with no semi slicks and only few 0-200km/h tests..

so if porsche claimed 10.8 for the turbo s you can expect 9.8 in excellent conditions..

Its not slower than the base, sometimes i wonder bout you ppl..

it would hit 200km/h in less than 10.8 sec for sure, the ordinary facelift did it in 10.4

If the 997 facelift leave any doubt with the GT-R, this one will erase all of them!

you know american magazines didn't get their hands on the new turbo yet so expect better times and for the turbo s it wont be winter tested like the normal turbo so if a normal turbo is capable of 10.3 to 200km/h in the winter without semi slicks the turbo s is capable of 9" in the summer. and you'll never know when those semi slicks will be available then even the normal turbo will come close.

Carrera4 S are n/a engines there is much more work needed to get 40hp more out of a n/a flat6, at the turbo they play a little bit with the boost and it is most likely that the Turbo facelift already have more power than the 500hp claimed. The 500hp Turbo was already tested with mindblowing 3.1s 0-100km/h with PDK, magentic engine mounting and all other perfromance stuff avaible as option for the facelift Turbo thats much faster than factory claimed, I don´t see there much room for the S to improve that perfromance significant... I bet we will see several test done in not so ideal conditions were the Turbo S is slower than the storming Turbo that was tested with 3.1s

Goerg that 30ps you considered not a big factor made porsche previously claimed the carrera 4s (385ps) one second faster than a carrera 4 (345ps) in a 0-160km/h acceleration.

My estimation

0-100 km/h 2.9 seconds
(considering the normal turbo did 2.9 to 60mph)
0-160 km/h 6.5 seconds
0-200 km/h 9.9 seconds
0-300 km/h 34.4 seconds
Quarter mile 10.8 @ 132 mph

0-200kmh will probably be no less than 9.8. i just wish they would have done just a little more detailing between the Turbo and S.

NOW WAIT FOR THE Frankfurt Auto Show A 580HP GT2 RS IS COMING!!!

this has 30 ps & 700 Nm of torque unlick the normal turbo that can have that 700 Nm for only few seconds and we all know that this car is much faster than a 10.8 truth is in a good day 2" to 100km/h & 9" to 200kmh/h i believe it will be much faster than a well optioned turbo...

Georg in this page move that 10.8 to the 0-200km/h column.
