Autobild recorded 0-100km/h in 3.9 seconds, 0-100mph in 9.1 seconds, 14.8 seconds to 200km/h and 12.2 second 1/4 mile pass. They also dyno-ed the car at 385bhp stock.
For Comparison, they ran 12.8 seconds over the 1/4 mile (10.5 and 17 - 100mph and 200km/h) for the A45 and 12.9 Seconds for the old RS3... so this new one is light-years faster.

I completely agree it is all about individual taste, Subjective as all hell.
Not saying the note of the RS3 doesnt sound good, But compared to even base V8s, InLine-5 engines, Or anything below an 8 just fails for me most of the time, However, There are some great exceptions, Like that nice note the A45 AMG makes with its optional exhaust, GT3 sounds good too, And of course the R34, Among others.

Who told you that V8 necessarily sound better than inline 5 or V10?
You can argue that R5 sounds better than V8. It has to do with individual taste as well.

As usual, the straight line times are blistering. But that was the case with the previous RS3, and if you run a 'Compare' with the massively cheaper SEAT Cupra 280 we see the verdict;'The SEAT is noticeably faster'! So, we need some track times before using 'super hatch'

I like this new A3 model coze its the only compact car that has realy good quality of interior (Golf VII also is good for its price).
I can see that this hp war remains even in that class of cars.
370 hp in A3...1999 Ferrari 360 Modena has 400 hp and 2000 Porsche 911 Turbo 420 hp.
Nonetheless for me it is the best car in its class. It has huge power, good quality, great tranny, very good handling, steering, nice 4x4 system and it looks so good.
