Just for the record.... I delivered a 1990 new V8 Quattro to a customer in 1990 and had to drive it from Wisconsin to Tahoe. Just outside Reno there is a stretch with no place for police to set up radar because of the terrain, I managed to bury the needle and hit 162 MPH and maintained it for about 15 seconds. It was exhilarating and the car handled like it was on rails. What a car!!

So, you hit 162 MPH in a car you are supposed to deliver to the customer safe and sound?

I've just obtained one to restore in australia. It drives well for 1991 model. A lot of cosmetic work & new paint will bring this classic back to life.

And one of the very few Audi's with V8 engine. I can't think of any other model with V8 from that era.
