I had a 1987 T, black out package cuz wait for a GN was months. same vehicle as the GN, except the upholstery, and rims, my car had aluminum rims, the GN had steel, I was lighter. I ran 14.08 bone stock. Then I sold my baseball cards got down to 12.22 with NOS.

LOL. 0-60 in 4.9 is unrealistic for a 6 cylinder engine? Is that what I was reading? The GNX did that on the testing grounds, in weather that made it ACTUALLY SLOWER, while blowing away the fastest corvette made in the 80's, and the driver (who worked for a very popular magazine) had his wife and two kids in the car at the time. Yeah, unrealistic! UN-derated you mean. It not only did this once, but three times in a row! It beat the bag out of the corvette so badly that GM reported the HP and torque lower then it really is because it didn't want to negatively effect the corvette sales.

A GNC is not a GN is not a GNX. Early GNs were barely quicker than Monte SS with a dog 305.

Mistyped GNX

You apparently aren't familiar with Corvettes of the 80s either.

Please correct the year! It's 1987 not 1982!
Evolution of the Buick V6 Turbo:
1978: 150-165 HP, 245-265 lbft
1979-1980: 170 HP, 265 lbft
1981: 180 HP, 270 lbft
These were mated with 3 speed auto transmissions.
1982: 180 HP, 275 lbft
1983: 180 HP, 290 lbft
1984: 190-200 HP, 300 lbft
1985: 200 HP, 300 lbft
1986: 235 HP, 330 lbft (became intercooled)
1987: 245 HP, 355 lbft (Grand National), 276 HP, 360 lbft (GNX)
These mated with 4 speed auto gearboxes.

@Dr.Bleed you're probably thinking of the GNX, (the quicker version of the grand national)

0-60 in 6.1 only looks unrealistic because all the mags at the time had this car running around 4.9 0-60. I could see an unloved car pulling those numbers.

The title is 82 and the car looks like an 86. 86 was rated at 235 BHP. 6.1 to 100KMPH or 60MPH is not unrealistic. Go try to run one with a Ferrari and post back.

the weight should be under 3500lbs. ... and these were underated by gm, actually alot closer to 300hp... that's why the numbers seem wrong.

6.1 to 100kph is VERY unlikely, being a US car the 6.1 is probably to 60mph but even that seems too quick for something with 141bhp/ton
