The 1987 Grand National did 0 to 60 in 6 seconds. The GNX did 0 to 60 in 4.7 seconds. I keep seeing magazines write 4.7 seconds for the regular GN. GNX was a special edition. They where basically double the price of a Grand National after Mark ups.

I remember when this car hit the streets. Everyone was going GA GA over its specs. This was when the car makers were neutering the v8. Compared to today's turbocharged monsters this car is a bit of a dog. True you could tune it for more power but you risked blowing up the motor. This was the early days of turbocharging and engines were not designed from the ground up to handle the high boost these cars require.

This came out during the height of the "Malaise Era" when everything was suffocated by poorly designed emissions systems.

Interestingly, Mercedes was very successful selling diesel cars, because diesel engines simply were not (yet) under the same type of emissions restrictions as gasoline ones. Of course, today its even worse for diesels.

I might only be a 16 year old boy but this set of specifications is not correct, the original Buick Regal didn't have a turbo, it typically had a V8. Now the Buick Regal T-type had a single turbo v6, your welcome for the information.

There's a difference between the Regal and the GN/T-Type.

You are the reason why social media laws should increase the minimum age limit from 13 to 18.
