Corvette C4 Z51 competition

6.3 to 60? I was pulling mid to low 5's and best quarter (stock) high 13's to a worst of 14.2 at carlsbad and terminal island .

They cheated by choosing the worst car available to face the vette just to make a quick buck, and trashed the company when their get rich quick scheme didn't work. They should've read the terms before making a fool of themselves and just gotten Senna and the F40 instead of being lazy.

The Vette was way faster than the Consulier GTP despite Warren Mosler's claims. Mosler needed to go back to the drawing board to make a better car in order to match a Corvette. Sure Car and Driver didn't make the money, but they proved a point. I remember this article well.

Mosler did go back to the drawing board, and that was before the test took place. Yet, the guys at C&D chose to use a car that didn't have any of the updates and chose amateur drivers which meant the test would prove which is easier to drive fast rather than which is actually faster and has higher limits. If they chose a Corvette C4 ZR1, and it beat the Mosler, then I would've been less suspicious, but they chose a base model vette and claimed it was faster than a lightweight track focussed Mosler? now I doubt that very much.

Csaba Csere is not a bad driver, if he was quicker in the Corvette, the Corvette was quicker. I have experience with the C4 Corvette, Mosler's Consulier GTP was slower. The Corvette has higher limits due to lots of engineering and development, which the Consulier did not have. Mosler learned a lesson and made faster cars later.

Is there a way of finding out how many Z51 were produced in 1989, or how many are left ?
