I can say I had a 72 c20 w 402 220 hp. Yes I blew up timing gears 1 of GM dumber mistakes. Plastic anyway I turned it into a 421ci. L78. Ate 454 as a chips up all day not that inpresive

What you see here is a Chevelle SS that converted to pickup truck. This El Camino SS got same spec as Chevelle SS in 1970 and this also the top option available. The performance also same but don't push it over 140 mph in standard condition because the rear had no weight and will spin wildly if slam the gas to much (unlike Chevelle SS that had more grip at rear). it reach about 13 sec @ 105 mph for 1/4 mile
