Don't read this story if you're under 13, but basically...

Delorean is (apparently) making a COMEBACK!

https://www.carsguide.com.au/car-news/back-to-the-future-iconic-delorean-returning-in-2022-as-new-electric-sports-car-with-tesla

Quote>"An icon of the 1980s, the DeLorean, will be reborn this year as a new all-electric sports car.

That’s right; the DeLorean Motor Company has confirmed the automotive star of the Back to the Future movie franchise will get another generation more than 40 years after its launch.

However, in a sign of the times, the DeLorean will be making its long-awaited return with an all-electric powertrain, one which should be mid-mounted – if it’s to follow the layout of the original."

I wonder if they'll end up using the same car in the upcoming movie.

I never knew the real car would struggle to reach 88mph.

@fangio man

you can set the time machine to just the right time to achive 0-88mph in -1 second (jumping back in time to the time before he started accelerating)

User avatar

Shaggy  12y ago

@ Fangio Man: Oh yeah, Back To The Future, but it only had to go 88MPH to travel through time. :D BTW, 129 MPH?, I seriously doubt it, 125 maybe.

@Monkfg
Why it should be faster?
It is a time machine!
You can reach every point in time.
No problem!
