This car being more powerful than 512BB has higher top speed, but 300kph is also very hard to believe.
As F355 posted before it has 380 PS and 432 Nm.
Here tested top speed is 290kph - http://www.monteverdiclub.com/images/rccount.jpg
Year of introduction was 1973, in 1971 they just showed concept, which was different to production model.

Great looking car!
And this colour...I would take it immediately...

And 300 km/h were very fast for 1971!

Maybe one of the best cars Ferrari built...EVER!

Thanks a lot F355 , Your figures is completely correct.

The prototype (4 tail lights) was presented in 1971.
The production car (6 tail lights) was introduced in 1973 with 380 PS @ 7200 rpm, 432 Nm @ 3900 rpm.
For tested performance see my post from 3 years ago.
BTW 0 to 60 mph in 5.3 s in a UK magazine test.

yeah you're right. 3 links all with slightly different info. I seem to remember these getting less powerful until the testarossa came out.

the Lamborghini Countach LP400 from 1975 had a factory claimed topspeed of 305km/h... 9 years befor the 288 GTO

User avatar

Georg  15y ago

Thats wrong the first production car that reached(TESTED) 300km/h+ was a RUF BTR 3.4 (with small SC body) it was tested with 305km/h one year befor the 288 GTO hit the market.

There were several cars with a factory claim of 300km/h

Inline 6 rules  15y ago

The top speed must be wrong. The first car reached 300 km/h was the Ferrari 288 GTO

User avatar

Georg  15y ago

here is a good picture to see the differents a 365 GT4 BB from the side.. no spoiler no intake... like the car displayed on top..

500x500m

The car gets different test numbers... even the power claims in the net range from 340, 360 up to 380hp and acceleration claims from 5.6 0-60 to over 6.3s 0-60mph to 7.3s 0-100km/h

Hard to say today which nubers are correct and which not

User avatar

Georg  15y ago

the car in the picture IS a 365 GT4 BB...

The 512 BB was optical identical to the 365 GT4 BB with 2 differents that you would see at this picture.. it was fitted with a smale spoiler lip at the front, a large intake in front of the rear tire ...

This 365 GT4 BB picture was taken during a auction in the USA...

This is a 512 BB with spoiler lip and intake infront of the rear tire..

I agree, stats are wrong as well.

User avatar

Ferrari_Mike  16y ago

Pictured blue car is not the 365 GT4... That would be a 512 BB
