This was the '80s when even "exotic" cars weren't particularly great. These cars often used Detroit Big Three-made transmissions. Their V8s and V12s were usually underpowered. Even a Buick GNX and a Ford RS200 Evo were hardly beaten by the flagship exotic supercars.

This, the Jaguar XJS V12, and the Porsche 928 are some of the greatest grand tourers ever made. I also like the Aston Martin V8 Vantage, but the interior was very low quality for a high-end luxury brand.

A lot of people are probably gonna disagree with me on this, but IMO I think this was the best all round Ferrari road car back in the 80s. It was way faster and definitely a much better choice than the Ferrari Mondial in terms of practicality, it was nearly as fast as the Ferrari 328 in terms of performance, and it was cheaper (and more luxurious) than the Ferrari Testarossa.

@ Viking: I've been reading up on them, I like the styling of a 412, it kind of reminds me of a BMW 8 series.

@Shaggy nice pedigree, all nice fast GT models.

@ Viking: Also, it's part of a pedigree.

I think it is a fine looking V12 GT car. Elegant, and sophisticated. It is also one of the more affordable Ferrari models to purchase used. As with other Ferrari cars maintenance costs are kinda high though.

Shoot, this is one of my dream cars, I love the 412.

The ugliest Ferrari ever.

The front and the side does not look like a Ferrari to me. But the back does.

The car's name is simply 412 with the manual shift.
Auto Mototr & Sport test gave
0-100 km/h 6.7 s,
0-200 km/h 26.7 s,
curb weight 1930 kg (with 120 l fuel).

Holy imps! The power is 340 PS, not 335!
@Eryk03
Please, change it, thanks!

I can see in this Ferrari something reminding 80-ties Japanese 2+2 coupes. BTW, I like the style of this car!
