I meant...

As for Shelby Crown Victoria, it's actually fake. The people who say it's real is an idiot. :D

@ Super8: I was close, I once saw a police chase video in which a cop was chasing a man in a Porsche 911 and he got up to 145 MPH, he may have been driving a Camaro or Mustang pursuit car. I've heard of police officers getting their Crown Victoria Police Interceptors up to 140 MPH. The Camaro and Mustang Pursuit cars are being phased out in favor of Dodge Chargers, which can double as a squad car and pursuit car because they can outrun most cars a criminal might be driving. Used Crown Vic Police Interceptors are gaining popularity because they're cheap, well maintained by the previous drivers, (although they had hard lives), comfortable, and relatively fuel efficient, reliable, and fast.

@ Shaggy: official top speed is 136 mph. But the real one must be around 140 mph. The low torque makes this car had slow acceleration to hit top speed faster. It must be fun to drive a retired police car. You'll got a special but cheap cars in your garage.

@ Super8: In America, the police are slowly retiring the Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor in favor of more Dodge Charger PPVs, Chevrolet Caprice Police Cruisers, and the new Ford Taurus Police Interceptors. Once a police car gets 90,000 miles on it, they remove all police equipment and sell it. You can buy a used Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor for around $3,000.00, well maintained, and the only was you can tell it from a standard Crown Vic is the black grille and the wheels. People in my neck of the woods like to buy them and "trick them out", Example: new wheels, usually huge and chrome, lifted suspension to accommodate the wheels, new sound system with CD player, 10"-15" speakers, 1,000 watt amplifier, and sometimes custom paint job.

@ ihateshelbycrownvics: "The Dodge Charger SRT8 with 425 horsepower tops out at 155 MPH, and the Ford Crown Victoria with 239 could do the same."EEHHHHHHH, wrong, the 2006-2010 Dodge charger SRT/8 with the 6.1 liter Hemi actually tops out at 172 MPH, the Ford Crown Victoria with the 239 horsepower 4.6 liter V8 tops out at 145 MPH.

Ugh, I've already subconsciously thought it's another troll's BS. Hopefully, my first impression was wrong. :D

BTW, I did not know about this Crown Victoria's sport package. And actually it does look impressive enough! So sleek but muscular. It does resemble me a Fox-body Mustang. And black suits perfectly.

As for an engine, it could be more powerful, of course.

@ Super8: Actually, it has the Police Interceptor engine. A good performance tune up would be a K&N air filter: up to 20+ horsepower, K&N high flow air intake: 20+ Horsepower, MSD performance ignition: up to 25% more horsepower, high performance camshaft, up to 50% more horsepower, porting and polishing the cylinder heads can add 30 more horsepower, Dynomax performance exhaust and headers can add up to 30 more horsepower, performance spark plugs can add 10 more horsepower, that's all I can think of without resorting to forced induction. There are butt-loads of performance parts and upgrades for Ford's 4.6 liter SOHC V8.

Thank god, it is not a Shelby Crown Victoria... :D

User avatar

Super8  12y ago

What kind performance tune up that good for this car?

User avatar

Super8  12y ago

Even this car had Mustang engine, but it's slow. It only can reach 136 mph and 0-60 mph is 8.6 sec for sport model. What should they do, is put 300 Hp version 4.6 L Modular V8 from Mustang GT so this car will not has disappointed performance as a sport version.

Because I don't have something to do, I decide to add this car. Sport version of Crown Victoria complete with performance exhaust and sport suspension.
