I looked it up. Car Life tested one in July 1969. The Boss 429 with 375 horsepower had a four speed manual transmission and a 3.91 rear axle. It did 0-60 mph in 7.1 seconds and the quarter mile in 14.09 seconds at 102.85 mph. Top speed was 116 mph. As far as the slow 0-60 mph is concerned, one does have to take into account the bias-ply tires of the time. Lots of wheel spin, and/or feathering of the throttle necessary in order to get off the line. I will leave it to others with more experience in such matters to estimate how much quicker it would have been with modern tires. I guess one clue would be that it took 7 seconds to go from 60 mph to 103 mph. Extrapolating a bit maybe 6.3 seconds from 60-100 mph, not bad.
