It was ADVERTISED as a midsize car, but it's actually a full-size car. Same could be said about the Chevy Impala and Pontiac Grand Prix. They labeled it midsize so it wouldn't overlap with the larger Crown Victoria which had a V8 that was actually slower than this car (when equipped with the Duratec engine). ;-)

Who said Dodge Intrepid?! That could be a possible rival! But the Taurus is mid-sized, not full-sized. Car and Driver was just testing the V6-powered family cars regardless of SIZE! The Stratus and Malibu are better rivals to this, although it is 198 (!!!) inches, much longer than that of a full-size luxury Lexus LS 430!

I actually have a friend who drives one.

What happened to Dodge Intrepid? Was it gone? This one's got the power out of a 3.0 V6, but 101 hp/ton? Darn, the Impala takes over with better performance out of a 3800 Pushrod V6. FACT.

Well, will you look at that, all the specs are correct, but this car is so mundane, I see them everywhere.

The Ford Taurus is a BMW tweener. Its got the size of a 5 Series and the price of a 3.

@FastestLaps
Do you search IPs before deleting anything? Because I noticed a few comments disappeared, and I'm using a cell phone right now.
