Twin turbocharged V12 Lamborghini Aventador SV. I believe she's still in the research and development phase, but it's one of the very few outside Underground Racing Lamborghini's via Gintani.

Haven't watched it.

Some rolling times

User avatar

As I was starting to have faith in this channel it hit me like a brick in the face

11.55 sec at 116 mph in an SV with launch control
Even grannys won't get these times

Here's an SV Roadster on Sport mode with no launch control doing the same time with 6 mph higher trap

At 2:54 in the video that Lambo sounds like an F1 car! :O

the lp750-4 sv should do 1:44.5-1:45 at lemansbugatti

Simple math logic. It's easier to find 1 example of a Ferrari less than 1500kg than it is to prove every one is over 1500kg.

Why would anyone ask someone to weigh all the Ferrari cars in the world before they'd believe in something. That's just ridiculous

User avatar

BR2+  8y ago

...Unless you can show me a single test where's it's actually weighed at Your claimed weight?...

I'll be here.

User avatar

SolidSnake7685  8y ago

And you have surely weighed every 488 GTB out there. Alrighty.

User avatar

BR2+  8y ago

Exactly, Wth would anyone use a company's claimed weight figure? You would think this day n age people would realize it's total bs weather it's a dry weight claim or wet

User avatar

saxy  8y ago

Ferrari weights have always been bullcrap. And you're a donkey to just go with their figures and say... "oh it's lighter than its competitors"

Ferrari also quotes the Laferrari dry weight of 1255kg. Actual weight 1585kg? I'm guessing batteries are considered "wet weight" in the discription too. 488 GTB's have been tested at above 1600+kg, Doesn't matter what the Ferrari weight say it is. And if to get to the claimed weight you need $150k in carbon fiber options, then that's NOT the weight of the car. The weight of the car should be based on the base model selling price.
and what the fxxk are you saying a fully loaded 488 is still lighter than the ACR. how much is 1600+kg is more than any ACR I've seen tested.

User avatar

BR2+  8y ago

It doesnt matter what Ferrari quotes, or anyone for that matter, Why? Because there never real weight figures, Thats damn near true for all companys with exception to a few, No 488, Atleast that im aware of, Has EVER been weighed at 3252lbs,, The lowest has been 3402Lbs, Thats almost 200lbs heavier then your quote, And even with options on a 488, Its not gonna approach 200lbs more, Maybe with everything filled including luggage and every heaviest option its a possibility, But the fact is, This generations ACR, Hell this generations SRT Viper, Is in fact Lighter then ANY current Ferrari, The lightest Viper tested has been tested at 3,310Lbs, The lightest Ferrari currently is the 488, At 3423Lbs, Theres really no point in Debating, Hell i think the heaviest weight of an ACR is the lowest weight of the 488. So weather its standard equipment, Or every or certain options, A 488 is heavier then todays SRT Viper, And i didnt bring up anything about aero.

User avatar

SolidSnake7685  8y ago

@BR2+

Well, Ferrari quotes the 488 GTB as 3252lbs with additional equipment, and a dry weight of 3020lbs. The current generation of ACR is a totally different vehicle, with a totally different aero, no need to bring it up.

Unless its a custom built with aftermarket parts, no 2008 ACR is lighter than a 488 GTB. As said before, a standard equipped GTB is still a couple pounds lighter than a stripped ACR. Let alone the regular one.

User avatar

SolidSnake7685  8y ago

@saxy

It already lacks floor mats and insulation, plus alot of stuff which is regular in the Ferrari, and its STILL heavier. But yeah... in theory, a custom built 'could' be lighter.

Carbon monocoque, cut off the rooftop, maybe even thrash the windscreen vipers (see what i did here?)

But we're missing the point, and it stands. Even a stuffed 488 GTB weighs less than a regular ACR. Thats it.

User avatar

BR2+  8y ago

...Right, No test of the 488 has ever had it down below 3300lbs, Hell i havent seen one below 3400lbs, And most of the options on the 488 do not make it lighter or heavier by 200lbs, Hell mots options are a bit of carbon fiber that wont even effect the car, The lightest an ACR has weighted in the last generation was 3,339Lbs or 1,514Kg, The heaviest was over 3,400lbs,That includes the Hardcore package with deleted Ac/Radio The lightest this generation has weighed was 3,310Lbs or 1,501Kg, So no the 488 GTB is not a lighter car, And im not talking about Dry weight.

User avatar

saxy  8y ago

if you spend $150,000 in options... LOL i'm SURE you can get the Viper down to a much lighter weight...

User avatar

SolidSnake7685  8y ago

As i said, with/without certain extras. Pretty sure the 488 GTB weighs less WITHOUT the HiFi system, telemetry kit, extra luggage compartment options, fire extinguisher, suspension lifter, extra electronics, like radiator fan & a few extra cameras.

It all depends on what you choose. Even if you strip the ACR (no AC, no radio), you can't get the Viper down to 1530kg, with a lighter GTB (still with AC and radio) weighing in at 1475kg.

User avatar

saxy  8y ago

lol solidsnake, he 488 without the extras weigh MORE. The minimum weight is quoted with $100-150k in carbon fiber and lightening options

User avatar

SolidSnake7685  8y ago

@BR2+

"So no, Its still not lighter, 3423Lbs/1552Kgs Vs 3339Lbs/1514Kgs"

The ACR weighs 3408lbs, or 1546kg. The 488 GTB weighs 3404lbs, or 1544kg. The 488 GTB with/without certain extras weighs just 3252lbs, or 1475kg.

Either way, the Viper ACR is the heavier vehicle.

User avatar

BR2+  8y ago

There's a bug difference between magazine latimes and manufacturers laptimes.

User avatar

hmdqyg  8y ago

Lambo's nurburgring lap times always looks fishy. This car lapped over 20 seconds faster than 488 GTB on nurburgring, but on every other tests this car is slower.

User avatar

saxy  8y ago

Strolling in Korea today I saw 3 in a row rumbling down a small street.

User avatar

BR2+  8y ago

....If you happened to notice, Which you clearly did, I said "Last Gen" Viper ACR....

So no, Its still not lighter, 3423Lbs/1552Kgs Vs 3339Lbs/1514Kgs, Not every data is "updated" with the newest info, And simply because the new ACR hasnt done a Ring run proves what exactly?..

And yes Top Gear "was' the best car tv show araound, But Everyone knew Cars were its second nature, Thas why not many people took its laps seriously.

And the F1 drivers, Or any driver on there just want the "Fastest Lap" for fun, Nobody really gives a shite about being number 1, There all just happy being on Top Gear, Do you not even see what they do in the car or how alot of them behave? Being the slowest on Top Gear is in NO way humiliating, And you actually think there "Reputation" is on the line for that? LOLOLOL, Did you just start watching TG?..

User avatar

C.J.   8y ago

First of all..i was talking about the 2008 Viper ACR (check my comment: "Take a look at the Viper ACR 2008" ). In this case the 488 it is LIGHTER than 2008 ACR not the new one..because the new one didn't had a laptime on Nurburghring (wonder why?) . Second : yes top gear is an entertainment TV show...but that doesn't mean that it doesn't have it's own "Respect and Decency". Top Gear UK is one of the most watched TV car show of the world (or probably the NR.1 car TV show)...so do you think that an F1 driver comes to this show to humiliate himself in front of millions of people by being the slowest F1 driver? Think again? It's their reputation in front of the world and fans....Third: in my comment i said the word (speed) with ("....")...which was a metaphorical form to say....so a "metaphoric speed isn't the same with the "speed itself"....I have my own way of speaking or my own style...whatever you wanted to call it...doesn't matter. But I admit my mistake : yes the Aventador SV had the P Zero Corsa tyres on the Willow Springs. My mistake.

User avatar

BR2+  8y ago

Dudes gotta be FakeKilerFours brother....

But a couple things..

A 488 isnt lighter then a last gen Viper ACR at 3339lbs compared to 3423lbs, Nor aerodynamically unless you mean better Cd over downforce.

2: On Willow Springs it did in fact have its bespoke Pirelli PZero tyres, Thats a fact, Only comes with one.

3: NObody takes TopGear laptimes seriously, Its TG, Its an entertainment comedy show first, Car show second, MotorTrend is a car show first, Entertainment show second(Channel)

4:...You say the Nurburgring wasnt made for speed?....How many other tracks have a 1 mile straight with a down hill section? And how many tracks can even a road car hit over 170mph plus on "Multiple" locations? And you say its NOT made for speed? lol The ring, Is just another track, It just happens to be longer with more roadworthy pavement.
