Tim from 2CV to Benz 6.3   2y ago

I had the regular 6.3 and did 0-100 km/h in 7 sec provided a dry grippy road. Originally, I wore 195 shoes. Later those were no longer available and I got 205s - the height was also slightly off. However, wheelspin was reduced - but not gone. I have faster cars these days, none that felt as powerful, because you had to man handle it and pay attention all the time! Today you floor a car and all the electronics keep you on the road - the 6.3 not so much:)

That is a sleeper! It looks slow, but 414 horsepower, that is the most powerful European I've ever heard of from the 60s and 70s, in fact, it's the most powerful non-American car I've ever heard of from that time.

Except that the German cars were ALWAYS rated at DIN (which has always exclusively relied on the net factor of hp) with the exception of North American market cars

@Z
In Europe? More likely - yes.

But if you remember mad power-glutton Americans... I doubt this AMG would be a leader.

Anyway, I love these old AMG sleepers.. so classy... Even though AMG was a tuning company back then, but that does not matter. ;)

Is 68 AMG the fastest sedan from 70's? It is very fast.
