@qadhi79 I agree with you that speed governors are stupid and annoying. Clearly your vehicle should be allowed to go beyond 155 mph and on to its true top speed. I don't think you will reach 200 mph with only 550 hp however. Too much frontal area. The Porsche Panamera Turbo S has similar power and less frontal area and tops out at 190 mph. Ideally you can find a low traffic section of autobahn and check top speed with GPS. Or you can estimate the aerodynamic drag which is the primary force that must be overcome (easier and safer). The simplest equation is: drag area is equal to the coefficient of drag multiplied by the frontal area.

155mph is the stock limited speed. I have ML63 2009 with AMG Driver's Package which removes the speed limiter and now the unlocked speed is 200mph (320kmph).

I saw one of these (wasnt amg though) at night time and the first thing that came to my mind (before I realised it was ml) was 'hmm....what is this thing, is it hyundai or some new ssang yong crap?'

The torque is 800 Nm! Please correct it!

The top speed is also affected by the gear ratios.

never ever 200mph
Brabus needs 750hp/995ftlbs to reach with the GLK V12 a topspeed of 200.3mph (which is world record for production SUV´s) not to mention that the GLK has a smaler frontal surface area and for this reason a better airdrag index..

200mph in this windbreak is highly unlikely even with 550bhp..... unless it has a much better drag coefficient than its looks would suggest!?

No way. Even a Cayenne Turbo needed 650 hp and a proper Aerokit by Techart to reach 200mph...
