...I can certainly believe that. Kinda find it funny they got the least fastest time of a GTR though...but Meh.

Still though, The GT-R over the years has really been sticking it to Porsche....A Nissan...The GT-Rs, SkyLine GT-Rs at least over the years, Have been able to keep up with Carreras, Even Turbos depending on year, R32-R33-R34( I should no) But never like this.

Still rather have the Porsche though, Non Cabriolet.

12.2-3.8 for the R8 tested = 8.4, while 10.9-3.1 for the 911 tested = 7.8. The problem happens in the high-end torque curve of the R8. Not sure I would call that "underrating" the 911

And that's no surprise since 997.2 Turbo was already faster then GT-R on straight line.
Surprise is that GT-R is still faster than 991 Turbo on the track:
