All Porsche 911s are destined to become classics, the 911 is one of the greatest cars ever made, I have mad respect for them.

Porsche rules! 997 Turbo facelift, then 997 GT3 RS, now this. And there will be 997 Turbo S with 540-550 PS! I hope there will be 997 GT2 facelift.

Love the car, especially because it will again extol Porsche's history, tradition and pedigree. I'm sure that this car is faster, than Audi R8 (aka 911 killer),
But that's not the point of this car,Porsche builds GT3 (and RS too) as a real successor to ancient RS,this car has got some performance upgrades but in general it's a special edition and is supposed to become a collector's car.
I also hope that Porsche will offer similar power-up package (X51) like the one on this car for Carrera S,since this package is an exclusive.
Also this Fuchs wheels again show how little tha 911 design changes, and still, designers at Porsche always manage to keep it fresh. It is more of a sportscar design icon than any other car ever.

the wheels are not retro they are orginal Fuchs wheels from Otto Fuchs KG only in larger size. Porsche offer that wheel since 1967, till 1989 standart or as an option on many models and till today it is avaible via Porsche dealer network. BTW many modern Porsche wheels are Fuchs wheels like the Wheels on the 997 Turbo

Lovely retro wheels. And they look perfect on the new 997 shape. That's because the shape hasn't really changed despite all these years.

a new version of the 997... based on the Carrera S, Porsche made a homage to the Carrera RS 2.7... it is a 250car limited production model. Porsche present it at the IAA and delivery starts Feb 2010.
