50 units were planned.
Only 3 prototypes were built/sold.
I think 2 went to Japan the other 1 stayed in Germany.

Every manufacter who designed and built a road legal 962 got bankrupt.

Wow, I've never seen this car before? How many were made, did any of them make it to the US? Has anyone reviewed it/road tested?

One of these cars was sold by a chinese Auction for over 5.000.000 $ !

BTW, I've read Porsche is going to introduce the 960, a mid-engined supercar. By the rumors, it will use 4-turbo Boxer8 in 650 PS to compete with MP4-12C. I believe that would be a wonderful successor to the Carrera GT and older Porsches, and just one of the bests! Oh, I cross my fingers! 8)

If there only making between 10-20 for a "Homologation Special" i dont want it, make alot more then that.

Homolagation cars are fine, but you BARELY ever see a SINGLE test or review on them.

I would Love to see a MORE Race inspired ACR in the next 4 years, a TRUE Racer, Nothing in the cabin(Optional) Big arse slicky tyres, big ole spiler 2500lbs DF-_- maybe even a wide body, something rediculous, but still keeping in with being a Viper.

According to Ralph Gilles, the next Viper ACR will be a homologation car. Hopefully that means we will get something ridiculous.

I miss such types of cars. What times. When carmakers were producing omologation versions for their racecars. That was magnificent and mostly successful, like this Porsche 962.

People has to reborn racing cups with omologations. And just, a racing earlier was much more romantic than now.

BTW, Porsche has to build something like this again.
