I use 0-60 mph calculator.

HP: 150
KG: 1120
0-60: 6.832 seconds

This car: 10.0 seconds

But why? Aerodynamics?

@Super8
The Mr2 Spyder is actually very rare in the U.S., even in California (there are probably more here than in other states though). Depending on the source, the number of Toyota Spyders sold during the entire production run from model year 2000 to 2005 amounts to only 24,000 or 27,000. Based on current registrations of only 21,000 it seems the sales figure of 24,000 is more likely. That makes the Toyota Spyder about as rare as a Ferrari 360. From reading the owners' forum "Spyderchat" it seems most owners are guys, and a lot of them use the car in competition or as a weekend toy. Of course the Spyder has a decent sized interior, but no trunk which kinda limits its usefulness. The Toyota 2000 GT is even more rare, and exotic. Its big disadvantage is the very small interior; Sean Connery barely fit even after they cut off the roof. :)

@ Super8: You've got her number?! Dude! We mostly have country girls where I live, and sadly, most of them are married. It's mostly black girls who find me attractive, I don't know why, I'm the whitest dude around. BTW: Speaking of Asian girls in James Bond movies, I think Chu Mi in The Man With The Golden Gun was hot. LOL :D

@ Super8: I know you were addressing Viking, but here in the U.S., it's known as the MR2 Spyder, and it isn't very popular, I see one once in a blue moon, but they might be more common in a state like California.

Without any doubt, this 2000GT and Supra are the best Toyotas ever to come. 2000GT is a dream car. :)

Yeah, I remember that movie. Very impressive, and as always with artific British humour. :)

Although I'm usually not about Japanese girls, Aki was pretty nice. But still, I would prefer that red-haired Osato's secretary.. she was evil though, but that does not matter. :D

@ Viking: Yeah, At least now they think better before they create small sport cars. By the way, MR-S is a cool car in Japan but that car mostly driven by girls because it's easy to drive. Is that car is pretty popular in US?

@Super8
Yep, I am very glad they made bigger interiors on more recent Toyota sports cars. The 2004 Spyder accommodates even my 6'0" 210 lbs of mass. :)

But I don't too much know what Toyota think in that day when they create this car. It smaller than Ford GT40 and even I'm a Japanese, I didn't too fit when goes inside. My dad can't also fit in there nor my brother. Only my mom and my sister who can drive this car comfortly.

I got a lot friend from J-AV girls. Remember the girl that I show to all of you that photographed in front of 383 Challenger R/T? I actually know her and I got her phone number ;)

Agreed.

Mio Takahashi is a great candidate(Not the best Carrera choice) But looks exactly like my wife.

LOL, Asian chicks rock! :D

Akiko Wakabayashi did a fine job driving at speed in the 2000 GT while portraying the secret agent Aki, and she was a hot chick as well. Very pretty girl in a great movie. :)

..Japanese girls are the cutest

User avatar

Shaggy  12y ago

I remember that movie, the car was driven by a pretty Japanese girl. :D

Yep, a very pretty Toyota. Looks quite like a Jaguar E-Type, but smaller. For the James Bond film "You Only Live Twice" they made two of these rare cars into convertibles since Sean Connery was too tall to fit in it otherwise. :) Jay Leno recently drove one of the white roadsters from the movie, but they only let him drive it around the parking lot of the Toyota museum. :)

Wow! This Toyota looks like a Jaguar! I consider this car as the most beautiful Japanese car! And it's not wonderfully that it's one of J.Bond's car!
