I have some doubts about this numbers, they may be a bit biased.
I recommend that if you want to test how a specific car may perform under YOUR own conditions use a car simulator like nxgtrsim.com

you never know the weather conditions at the test day... for example best motoring NEVER reach similar 1/4mile times to US magazines...more amazing is that in many cases the US magazines get some amazing 0-60mph times but at 0-100mph(160km/h) the europen and US times are in most cases pretty identical... many time the europen 0-160km/h times are better than the US tested..

It might be quicker in real life, not sure if this guy got the numbers enter correctly into this simulator though... www.vimulator.com and then load ID 2965

apparently, sometimes i am curious where or how some people get these terrible stats from cars noadays, even on excellent tarmac. i mean ive noticed ALOT of these straightline tests done in Europe are ALOT slower than the ones tested in Japan and America, whether it be 0-60 or 0-62. just the other day i saw on youtube some driver from Switzerland ran a SkyLine R34 V-Spec II from 60mph, not 62mph, in 5.9 seconds!! was like wtf? and another guy in America ran one in 4.8! was like wtf again, im just guessing but maybe people who tests cars cant shift as good as people from the US or Japan? i dunno im just theorizing, i mean it just seem that way, maybe theres some different method of shifting depending where your from??

Better performance figures for the Auris 2.2D-CAT than those achieved by Georg:
0-100 km/h 8.2 secs
402m 1/4 mile: 16.0 secs @ 86.4mph
plus
0-1000m: 28.7 secs @ 108mph

Jose,
9.7 seconds is too slow. I think you need to learn how to launch this car properly.

Find some other figures for the Auris SR180 2.2D-CAT here:
0-60mph 7.778 secs (not 0-62mph)
0-100mph 22.276 secs
1/4 mile: 16.152 secs @ 85.51mph

Be interested to see if the UK SR180 version with it's lower suspension as standard does any better.
Also, like to know if the much talked about 'run in' process for a diesel really 'loosens it up' to give better performance.
Would like to suggest adding mileage/Km on the clock at time of testing to the technical data reports.
