I had the opportunity to drive a 1988 model year Toyota MR2 back in the early 1990s. It was fun to drive, and I really enjoyed that mid engine low polar moment of inertia, and the good corner entry and exit. My daily commuter car at the time was a Suzuki Swift GTi. The Suzuki was lighter than the MR2, but it had trouble putting down power, whereas the MR2 powered out of corners easily.
