I've driven both recently, and both are great cars, but choice depends on your preference of diesel (maybe for tax reasons) or petrol, but the petrol TSI version is quicker and a nicer drive. Interior less sporty looking than GTD, but in my opinion nicer with it's suede seats.

Mk6 1.4 TSI 160 is similar priced, but is faster, smoother, and makes a great noise. That's the one to buy.

note:7.8 s to 100 kmh with DSG transmission..don\'t know about if the launch control was beeing used though
