Thanks for pointing out my typo Einstein. And yea my 85\' GSL-SE had nearly a 9 thousand R.P.M. factory red-line. I call that high reving.

There is nothing like driving an RX-7 OR 8. The high reving rotary is simply a joy to drive. I had an RX-7 back in the day with the big 13-B engine. The bottom line is the RX-8 begs for a factory twin-turbo option to really show what it can do. It's a brilliant engine design. Only about 70 parts and ONLY 3 are moving. No tune-ups. Keep the oil changed and it has better engine life than a piston engine. Lastly, the RX desparately needs a face lift. The looks of the RX-8 just never grew on me.

in my opinion, the mazda can probably get faster laptimes, because of its incredible ease to turn around corners, and with \"straight line\" specs so similar, it is likely that the scirocco cant keep up
