I would still take the R8 over almost "Any" Porsche...Almost, Im not huge on 4wd or dual clutches, most of the time thats fine for me, but not my ideal choice, the Turbo S would win a a straightline dual, but up to what point? would they R8 pass it in the mile? good chance, but dunno, but as usual, the New Generaton R8 will get more tech n less car, and prolly not a Manual option, and most likely a Hefty price upgrade too, but that wont stop it for selling like hot cakes.
From BR2, the REAL One, Unfortunetley i Have to put that because of you know who..

I don't think so because it is claimed to be a complete new development by Audi. The point is, Audi has got 2 double-clutch Systems (depending on the engine torque) but none of them fits into the space frame structure.
Moreover, I don't think that the 'bigger' DSG can take the 540Nm of the V10 because the engine with the highest torque figure which the 'big' DSG is combined with is the 3.0 TDI producing 500Nm. That's why the current S8 or 313hp 3.0 TDI in the A6/A7 are combined with the 8-speed tiptronic.

The Porsche has way more Torque (Nm) than R8 GT. It should win the straight line.

So, the new R8 will get dual clutch-transmission, same what 991 use?
Has it launch control?

@PorscheGT2RS
The R8 GT's launch control isn't well calibrated and, yes, the R-tronic transmission sucks which is why a new S-Tronic (twin clutch) will replace it with the facelift later this year.
The turbo has got a more rear dominant weight balance resulting in more grip at the launch.
Because of the launch control, the turbos generate full boost at the start. All in all, the turbo S is the perfect car for the quartermile.

Has 911 Turbo S better transmission or what, because its better in the straight line speed than the R8 GT?
R8 GT is lighter, has better power to weight ratio and it has more power than this Porsche.
