McLaren still says 204-205 mph for all of its entry-level cars. Is there a governor limiting the 650S to 204? I read somewhere that the 592hp 12C could do 205.

@saxy: I actually agree, it's clear that the 650s is faster around the track given the laptimes, and taking into account the previous generations.
@derb: how is it a stupid comment? you say that we can't consider autocar because of bias, yet hockenheim where they clearly favour porsches, the 650s still managed to tie the 911, as for goodwood, one only has to look at the laptimes to see that it's not a true test of a cars performance. see if we start eliminating laptimes that leaves ring knutstrop, (a german track) and the 650s comes out on top. so please enlighten me in what way is the 911 faster?
