Yeah, it wont beat everything obviously, but it'll beat most opponents, and an M6 wont.

For the price, and not a tunned Toyota Supra, or Skyline, etc.
I think this could be the quickest street car for that price with the Z06.

I'll prefer a GT-R all the way.I think the M6 is uglier. And for me, speed really matters.

My own car is much slower in terms of top speed than either of these monsters. Even if ungoverned (which I would have done if I lived in Germany) my car would hit a drag limited 175 mph. Bad aerodynamics are to blame 0.36 Cd X 24.2 sq ft frontal area = 8.7 CdA. Oh well, I will learn to move to the right a lot if I move to Germany.

Very different cars, made for different purposes. I haven't driven either, but if I were competing on a track I would choose the GT-R. If I were on the autobahn trying to get to a distant city fast, I would choose the M6 with the governor taken off. The Nissan runs out of rpm at 193 mph or so because of gearing. Despite its appearance the GT-R has an excellent coeffcient of drag 0.27 which makes up for its fairly large frontal area. The M6 has both a good Cd and a smaller frontal area, thus giving it a very nice CdA for top speed. I believe the reported 205 mph is probably correct if ungoverned.

Nissan is much faster and much cheaper!
M6 beats the GT-R on top-end.
These are two different cars, not meant to compete with each other.

Its amazing how other cars can keep up with the GTR on certain track but on the ring it kick ass, big time.
