older Audis from before 09 looked plain, but now pretty much all the audi sedans and coupes look awesome imo. Not to mention the R8 which I think looks amazing!

WHere is the world heading?! Audi's fast in straight, caddy's fast on tracks!
Nascar planning to go to germany or what?!

And in the subject of best looking performance sedan i have to go with the new BMW m5
love the muscular body shape

I am amused and entertained. 204 mph sounds about right given the CdA and gearing. I have never driven a car that fast, might be interesting if one could find a stretch of the autobahn with little to no traffic.

User avatar

Apathy  14y ago

I just looked it up and some sources say 204mph. So yes, it has a higher top speed when delimited.

My arguments are often intended to be amusing. I know that you can rarely sway most so called "car enthusiasts" when they have made up their mind on an issue, facts often mean nothing to them. So, I try to have a little fun from time to time. Sadly, some people are easily offended or incapable of seeing it from more than one perspective (this character in them flaw is probably the root of the argument in the first place, LOL). And so, I'm just a hater, biased, etc in their eyes. And those people know who they are... Ha.

@Apathy I for one find your arguing very amusing. I agree with your opinion that the Aston Martin is the best looking performance sedan. I saw one last year parked on the street in North West Washington D.C. and was quite impressed. The Rapide is a fine looking car. I do think that FastestLaps is right about an unlimited M5 having a higher top speed than the CTS-V. The aerodynamics of the CTS-V are just as bad as my car. I do applaud Cadillac for not putting limiter on it. 191 mph is not too shabby.

Shallow taste, and you are certain it is true, hmm? Well, you seem to know me better than I do yourself.

Of course what you say must be true. I mean, my opinion differs from yours, so it must be that my opinion is incorrect due to my poor judgement and bad taste. How else could you process differing opinions. Yours is infallible and no one can disagree with you.

It's also interesting that you would describe someone's taste in the outside appearance of a car as shallow. I would explain to you how that in itself is fundamentally flawed, but I'm afraid you wouldn't understand. You're walking a line that can not be logically justified.

Isn't it past your bedtime lad?

@Apathy you have shallow taste... sorry but it is true ;/

The Audi is too plane looking in my opinion.
(AGAIN, THIS IS JUST MY OPINION).

That is the biggest reason I started arguing on this page. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and even I'm not about to argue against someone's opinion on a subjective matter. Though I might mention my opinion on the matter. What some of the "car enthusiasts" on here like to foolishly do all the time though is state their opinions as facts:

So called enthusiast - "The Audi is the best looking car!"
Me - No it isn't you idiot.

"Enthusiast" - "I think (or IMO) the best looking car is the Audi."
Me - That's nice. I think (or IMO) the Cadillac looks better.

The best looking sedan in my opinion is this:

The worst looking PERFORMANCE sedan IMO is this:

The rest fall somewhere in the middle IMO.

It's just something I tend to do.
Some do not appreciate it though.

I would say that I tend to argue whenever I read an ignorant statement about something. (And yes, I just argued about how I argue). I prefer to address something that I don't agree with instead of letting it go by. It is sometimes enjoyable if arguing with the right person as well. Though many of the arguments on here normally just end with a headache. It's hard to listen to brand loyalists.

I don't know what the M5 can do unlimited, but I do know it wasn't sold unlimited in the states. So the top speed argument doesn't really apply to a stateside comparison.

I'm also curious as to why you think the F10 is dull. If the F10 is dull, then the E60 has less vivacity than a plank of wood. The F10 to me looks like an E60 with some real lines and a mean demeanor.

Oh, I almost forgot. You've been neglecting our ZR1 argument: https://fastestlaps.com/models/nissan-gt-r-r35-530-ps#56980 hahahahaha

User avatar

FastestLaps  14y ago

I am not sure about that "every way" bit. I think the M5 has a higher top speed.

You sure like to argue.

User avatar

Apathy  14y ago

It performs better in every way. Just by a small margin. Seems clear enough to me. Maybe not so much to someone who can't compare a series of values or something though.

User avatar

FastestLaps  14y ago

Very clearly? I would say barely.

User avatar

Apathy  14y ago

Appearance is subjective. You like what you like and I like what I like.

Performance isn't subjective though. And this is where the Cadillac is very clearly better than the E60 German bruiser.

User avatar

Apathy  14y ago

What is this word: rediculous?
And I'm a hater? Pot, meet kettle. HA!

I'm just pulling your chain. The E60 doesn't look bad per say. Though I do think the CTS-V looks better. Anyone who has, oh, I dont now, lets say EYES for example, wouldnt counter this.

I only say the thing about people with eyes because my subjective opinion on how a car looks versus how another car looks is obviously shared by all. I can't support this argument at all, but I'll gladly state my opinion as a fact for all those around me because real facts are for chumps. Oh, and everyone shares my opinion on subjective matters because I'm just that awesome....

/sarcastic impression of a certain someone

E60 looks good. Front and back. Looks better than the incredibly dull F10.

thank you! good man.

finally, someone with some taste.

oh, apathy, you are starting to be rediculous, just goes to show how much of a hater you really are.

and no, caddy doesnt look better than the e60 m5, everyone who has, oh, I dont now, lets say EYES for example, wouldnt counter this.

a car with vertical headlamps can not look better than the car with horizontal. its the law of physics lol.

User avatar

Apathy  14y ago

You think so?

I think the F10 looks better.

I just really don't like how overly smooth the front is; or the bulbous rear, and weird headlamps of the E60. The E60 is just too boring for my tastes.

I think the F10 looks more aggressive and edgier.
