why the surprise? The Macclaren F1 is a piece of art engineered to perfection with what was available at the time. The engine is covered in gold for maximum heat dissipation from crying out loud. Every single detail of the car was made with care and it was unbeatable from 0-100 for at least 10 years! It is a pure race car that just dont run forward, it can enter curves with extreme handling and get out with pure acceleration and grip. This is still one of the best cars of the 21st century no matter what constructers try to build, and its all mechanical. The F1 is a piece of pure engineering art.

There's something up with those CCX numbers. 0-60 in 3.8, that way slow for this car. Then goes on to pull a 10.5 1/4 mile?? Something is off. Completely believe the F1 is the better track car but straight speed I think CCX wins.
