Ok, but it cannot be faster than SLS, so the question is: Will it be faster than new M6?

as you can see by this comparison here http://www.fastestlaps.com/comparisons/fplbfdduav6o acceleration is not everything, aston martin has promised that the new car will handle way better than the dbs it replaces, meaning that the Vanquish may very well be the superior performing car

I dont want to insult Aston Martin, but there is some kind of disappointment in their performance. By meaning of muscle car i mean also poor technology. So... Aston iss some kind step behind Ferrari. Berlinetta gearbox, power, handling, all that stuff is no doubt better. Hower imo A.M. styling is the best in the world. And that makes some kind of frustration for me.
But seriously You cannot make just pretty cars in supercar segment. It must to be damn fast. And If You pay so much You expect something more than M5 performance level.

"this brand start to look like a MUSCLE CARS brand. You got Your big V12 engine and nice body"
Aston associates to me with muscles anyhow today 8l. With such logic you can call F12berlinetta also a muscle - big V12, a body that I guess many people call beautiful - but it is nothing reminding muscles and cannot be called so. Opposite, I think Aston was a brand, which produced muscle-associating cars, from 70-ties to the 21 century. Especially with such models:

well...its pretty?
Uh, i must agree, i love Astons but, this brand start to look like a MUSCLE CARS brand. You got Your big V12 engine and nice body, but thats all. And the diffrence is muscle cars are cheap and Astons are 2-3 more expensive. You pay it for the logo and body.
I dont have problem with it but, if someone pay so much for a car... just give him the fooking performance.
M5 propably will win with Vanquish on track, beceause of much faster gearbox, and great balance. And if not, M6 for sure will.
This Vanquish would be a great car, but about 3-4 years ago, now Ferrari relase the berlinetta with 740hp and its also a grand tourer.

its slower than the m5 in the straight line, will be slower than the m6 in the straight line - thats what I meant, thats how you set the statement down there. then, you were wondering will it beat the m6 on the track and I say since it will be slower in the straight line and its not that much lighter, plus it aint that much track set as its predecesor kinda was - I think its gonna be slower than the m6.

It probably will beat the M6, as it has same power but is much lighter. But the question is, by how much? And will it still beat it on a race track? And i cant think of another comparable car to the new Vanquish other than the M6. Maybe the upcoming M3 coupe? Also the Jaguar XKR-S would be comparable. The Mercedes SLS AMG would make a good opponent but that will probably be way faster. And the Ferrari F12 is way to fast for this.

...We dont know how the new Am310 will perform, but supposedly is has Reall short gearing, and is alot lighter then the previous Vanquish, along with more Bhp, So if i had to guess, the Vanquish would blow the M5 and M6 out of the water...but who knows it may not.
But i think you would have to be a damned fool to take an M5..(Or ny Bmw for that matter) over this AM310 Vanquish..
