The LaFerrari doesn’t actually get to 186mph in 15 seconds. More like 16-18 seconds

I don't believe it.
McLaren is a superior vehicle

por-shee can't afford to play with the big boys, because their hybrid system is too weak and loses half of its performance when the battery dies

I suspect the McLaren has a little less lateral g maybe 1.11-12 versus 1.16.

I guess the Grand Tour laps are too showbiz...and they'd anger McLaren fans. Lotus and Aston make the odd High performance track car but McLaren is the only English company with a serious lineup from top to bottom.

@fakerkiller
The Laferrari dont change the gear at 9000rpm. P1 have the maximum power at 7800-8000 and LaFerrari have tha maximum power in 9000-9300rpm.

Removed non-factual laps from comparisons.

For god's sake, don't add Assetto corsa lap time for comparision,we are all aware that P1,Laferrari are too fast in that game.As a sim it is one of the best but we can't compare it with real life.

anglesey coastal lap of the p1 is in trofeo r at least compare the p1's lap with the corsas in it

User avatar

saxy  10y ago

0-150mph was tested at Fiorano? which is a -1.4% which over 10 seconds easily accounts for several kph. Pretty sure the P1 has it beat in a straight line even if the P1 has thinner tires.

I'm glad these laptimes exist because while they may not be the best times, as far as everyone is concerned ferrari is the slowest of the 918, p1, and laferrari and it makes them look bad. hopefully they'll smarten up, but they probably won't :/

PLEASE!!! delete the Spa times!!! this times are imposible because a F430 Scuderia does in 2:40.

Or....Regulations can just piss off.

User avatar

saxy  10y ago

umm... wth? i thought the main reason everyone is moving away from V12s and NA engines is because of stricter regulations. They will ONLY get tighter and never looser. The only way around it is to use a hybrid battery as a way of "free rolling" the car and claim absurd MPG and carbon numbers. but soon they'll change how they test that too to stop manufacturers from cheating.

User avatar

I can agree. Its more of how free market works.
If there would be no car with big N/A engine to buy, many people would love to buy one. Any company that would produce that car would made it hot sealer just by the fact that its the only N/A sports car in the world.
Free market do not like empty space.

Same bullshit when Clarkson drove 12V Vantage and said that its the last one V12 engine in the world becease this is an end of big V12 era. And we still have many V12 engines from Ferrari, Mercedes, BMW, Audi, Lambo... and so on.

It's not the end, It's just another trend, FI will be in like it is now, then it will be out, Then back n forth, Company's are changing, some more then Other's, some changes good some bad, it's not the end
