CC8S is much more powerful but zonda accelerates better.

It's only because the CC8S never unleashes its full 655bhp until around 160-maybe even 170mph, as implied by the Autocar test. The Zonda makes 550ish hp from the start till the end, the CC8S barely even makes 500hp until 80ish mph. The problem lies within the Cima transmission and its long gear ratios; it wasn't designed to marry the Lysholm supercharger, even though it did.

From 0-100, the CC8S is on the same level as the Ferrari F40/F50 and the Lamborghini Diablo/Murcielago, but only post-150mph can it compete with Enzo/Aventador.

I just wish the CC8S had used a better transmission. A 6-speed Cima has long gear ratios and isn't really any better than a conventional American 4-speed automatic. A transmission from the Porsche Carrera GT would be a much better fit for the CC8S.

There were too gear sets two, apparently. Short for acceleration and high for top speed runs around 235 MPH plus. It didn't really workout. But it was their first car so you can forgive that.

Koenigsegg CC8S wins,But Pagani Zonda C12 S Did Very Well Against The Koenigsegg CC8S
