Yes because 85 years is the same as 13. A comparison between a focus RS and a 25th anniversary Countach might illustrate the.march of time. over 25 years but not 85. I compared it to a c7 Grand Sport not unfavorably though they have few laps in common.
The Vantage V8 came out 2 years after the CS and was only 7 seconds slower at the Ring with much less straight line speed and was not a full out supercar like the CS. The GT8 should have been more than 13 seconds faster than that 2005 Aston
Still; it has Aston records in the two laps it's completed completed by indifferent German Magazine drivers with no car or track modification. Strange that this and the Lotus Exige V6s are forced to be company standard bearers over the GT12,Two Elevenand 177.
