Chevrolet Corvette Z06 vs Mercedes-Benz AMG GT S

Neither automaker underrated or overrated the outputs of these cars. All of the published C7 Z06 test results were for the Z07 version, which makes it more comparable to an AMG GT R on the track. AMG has been known to build track cars for straight line use.

AMG GT S is more like Ferrari F430 or the Corvette Z06 that came before this one, but with even quicker shifting and a much better torque curve.

The AMG GT liftback sedans are underrated for sure, but the two-door cars are usually within their horsepower figures.

0-60mph in 3.0s seems a bit quick for the AMG - I would estimate near 3.5s.

510 hp for AMG GT S is more Merc sandbagging. Both Renntech and Hennessey dynoed it and it's got approx 550 hp stock. Merc and BMW have zero cred with their BS hp figures...

its easily a match for the zo6, same 0-60 and 0-100... and after 100 the amg keeps pulling away. the chev pulls better G but when the amg gt-r is out it will dominate the zo6 in every measureable way, well mayyyybe not braking

AMG GTS is super duper fast. But not a match for C7 Z06.

I don't even know which one will be more expensive in European markets.
