Seriously, does it matter if the e90 is a bit quicker here and the e92 is quicker there? I have been working on bmw for over 25 years and have been racing bmw in hillclimb series for the same amount of time.
My experience tells me that the tiny difference between the figures is more likely down to atmospheric conditions than any kind of performance difference between the two models

George: The coupe is NOT faster than the sedan in a straight line despite it being written here. They both have nearly identical power to weight ratio (look at power/weight columns).
The samething goes for track comparison. The sedan should only be marginally faster than the coupe mostly because it has a stiffer chasis due to the b-pillar than the coupe and is shorter than the coupe making it easier to overcome inertia.
Look for youtube m5boarddotcom video of a race of the sedan with the coupe (from 50 - 260 KM/H). The sedan and coupe were neck and neck all the way uptill 260 KM.

just one more note....about that 5 points. It means something if we compare 50 with 55 points, but here that means 2 percent.

Why 5 points difference means "noticeably" faster?A bit faster isn't more proper sayed?I am really surprise that the sedan is faster on track than the coupe.A difference noticeably enough is in straight line ( for 0-160 and quarter mile).
