I'm more than slightly skeptical stock for stock that a 135i is beating a 370z. Did this 135i have a tune or aftermarket tires?

I think it could beat a 370Z, it has more torque and less weight and as Laguna Seca has a lot of uphills it would be a bit faster

The 370Z weighs 22 kg less according to this site. The Nissan also has more torque.

You’re right, I was thinking of the normal 370Z, but I believe the 135i still has more torque

I was looking at torque/weight. You're right. Still, that's a crazy lap time, about what you would expect from a Group 2 touring car.

As far as I understand, the 135i also has shorter gearing then the 370Z, which can be crucial for Laguna Seca
