Could someone pls explain me how an Insignia SW with 1.6 turbo (230 NM , 180 hp and weighing 1744 kg) could outperform the brera, which is 150 kg lighter, has 20 hp and 90 Nm more?

So funny!

Brera is not so havy as you think. 4wd is heavy, but this not (for a gt car of course) + on the dyno the 159 gave 218 hp and 330 Nm, this is more than the specs of Golf. And once again, 188.2 km/h at 28.5 seconds, and considering the above video..... no way for the brera to give 40 seconds to 200. Count how many seconds are from 180 to 200.

A chech review http://www.autorevue.cz/alfa-romeo-159-22-jts-novy-kral-stredni-tridy-velky-test/ch-25880
tested alfa 159 2.2 jts and it gave 39.8 sec 0-200. So is this slower?

@alfa...

this thing is extrem heavy and with 200hp it isn´t that powerfull..there is no way this heavy thing can accelerate as fast as a GTI with the same power but 200kg lower weight... the GTI needs 33s 0-200km/h so 7s slower for 200kg+ more car weight fit perfectly

Pretty slow generally.

No way to do 0-200 in 40.3 seconds. Quattroruote tested 159 1.8 Tbi and it gave 188.20 at 28.5 seconds.Considering that the Brera is always bit qicker than 159, it should do 0-200 at around 31-32 seconds.
Here's a video with acceleration of 159 Tbi, 180-200 takes som much time as 160-180. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a8b-eY7gAjI

So the German testers are cheating.. again. Those Alfas are hateful in their eyes, shame on them.
