@Super8
I could think of Maserati Quattroporte and Facel Vega Excellence. I'm sure you what Maserati is like, but Facel Vega is a French exotic saloon.
To describe it shortly: large dimensions, über-luxury, big Chrysler V8, or hellish beautiful monster. It a bit reminds Cadillac Eldorado, but Facel is more elegant and more a dictator's vehicle. Shorter to say, I think these two cars are excellent competitors to this AMC. Ah, yes, but one note, Facel is 1959, and 4porte is 1963.

@ Super8: You'd never guess it has a 335 horsepower 401 C.I. AMC V8 lurking under its hood, it looks like an old granny car, especially in brown.
You drive: 4 door muscle car.
Others see: a geriatric-mobile, probably your grandmother's.
Their faces when you blow their doors off: 8D
