Kyalami laptimes are bull. Done by Cars in Action Magazine in South africa. They can't drive AWD cars round a track.

@georg sorry for the really long delay but 0-60 mph in 5.5 second is closer to 5.6 or 5.7 secs to 0-62 mph (or 0-100 kmph) than 5.9 seconds ... that extra 2mph doesnt take .4 seconds to achieve ...

relaxed and softer..

User avatar

rxbkrs  15y ago

Something like a more relaxed ride?

User avatar

Georg  15y ago

the VR6 is no real puncher... as Audi market the new TT 3.2 they already claimed that they work on realy sporty versions aka TT-S and TT-RS so yes the 3.2 is for comfort not for handling...

It could be called "GT version". Atmospheric V6 (or VR6?) engine is more smooth (or so they say) and more linear and relaxing in power delivery hence more comfortable.

And for sure it sounds good too!

rxbkrs  15y ago

Comfort version?

User avatar

Georg  15y ago

the TT 3.2 V6 is still in production, it is the comfort version of the TT

User avatar

rxbkrs  15y ago

I know they use the TT-S now...

User avatar

rxbkrs  15y ago

Is this still on sale?

Who cares This car is for poofs!
See Clarkson---only british airways cabin vrew drive them, and that wont be for much longer,

User avatar

Georg  15y ago

@Kelan you notice that they claim 0-60mph and not 0-100km/h which are to different numbers...
@fasteslaps we need a moderator button that automaticly sends such commenters a email that explain the different between 0-60mph and 0-100km/h :))

User avatar

Kaelan  15y ago

The stats for the 3.2 are actually:
0-100 km/h in 5.5 sec :)

this car is like the audi r8 it looks beautiful but it does not have the engine power or performance to back up the looks

User avatar

FastestLaps  17y ago

The glitch in comparison was because of one incorrectly added lap time for Audi TT. I did correct it and now comparisons work properly.

when you compare this car to any other car it always wins. There is a problem. http://www.fastestlaps.com/index.php?page_id=compare&car1=459bb2bec403c&car2=46f388b437911

Apologies to Georg (I think he has the old TT) but the new TT is much better than the original!

User avatar

What more could you expect from a Golf R32 with Audi TT body? I mean, it does pretty well. Look, it even managed to somehow sneak past 997 Carrera at Oschersleben.

User avatar

Wow... I expected more from this car... what a piece of crap.

User avatar

This TT has the same engine as the old TT, as well as A3/A3 SB/R32.. the same engine, transmision (S-tronic or DSG), suspension and brakes.. The new TT should be a bit quicker than the rest thanx to is lighter weight..

Launched at the same time as the 2.0 :)

I did not even know that new 2006 TT is available with 3.2 engine.
