"0 - 60 mph in 5.3s... sure..."

http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/2014-bmw-428i-coupe-instrumented-test-review

Well, lets make things clear:

Compact sedan: no - A3 Sedan - CLA (C117);
Compact coupe: 2er (F22) - no - no;
Mid sedan: 3er (F30) - A4 Sedan - C (W205);
Mid coupe: 4er (F32) - A5 Coupe - upcoming C;
Mid 4-door coupe: upcoming 4er GC - A5 Sportback - no;
Large sedan: 5-series (F10) - A6 Sedan - E (W212);
Large coupe: 6-series (F13) - no - CL (C216) ;
Large 4-door coupe: 6-series GC (F07) - A7 Sportback - CLS (C218);
Luxury sedan: 7-series (F ) - A8 - S (W222).

And I think it was a right decision making the separate named mid-size coupe - 4-series. However, I think the Gran Coupe trend is unneeded (it is just a good way to ask more money from customers for no function at all). And 3er and 5er GT are just have to be vanished out of Earth's face.

With all the different types and classes of cars, Its getting harder to put them in the right places, Specially since there coming out with more n more models.

In terms of weight, the Audi 5 Series is heavier, But that's about it, There dimensions are almost the same, Same with Bhp and performance, Mags don't compare them often for nothing. They are different, But Bmw should just cancel the Gran Coupes and make them there OWN class, The New 4 Series should have been that instead of this 3 Series Coupe/Saloon crap, But again a good example is the M6 GranCoupe and M5. Doesn't make sense to me.

Well they ARE making a 4 series Gran Coupe.

I was a bit surprised to see the A5 to be smaller than the A4, but the overall bulk of the car has always made it much bigger than a 3 series . See, even someone like me never really put them in the same class

Nonetheless, IMO, the 4 series, S5, and new C class are more different right now than like ever before. BMW doesn't need to go out of their way to make a different car when they are already selling the most with it.

The 3 Series is classified as a Mid size, not small, same with the Audi 5 series, The 3 Series have always been a competitor to the 5 Series Audis, 330i/A5, 335I/S5, M3/RS5. They didn't need to make a separate name plate for the Coupe/Saloon versions, All the versions are different from each other, 5 and 6 series are very similar, More so then the others, But different, Like the M6 Gran Coupe, whats the point of that when you have an M5?..If there going to make an entirely different named series, They should make it different, That's my point.

Then there wouldn't be a coupe version of the 3 series. they never wanted to make a totally different car. Audis don't even make small coupes like the 3 series.

Why don't you actually READ what I just said, Honestly, do I need to hold your hand?..

what an idiot. It IS the 3 series, in coupe.

4Series? bullshite, Just a more expensive 3Series, Should have been WAY different, Bmw is getting lazy, All there cars are looking the same, Same with Mercedes and Audi.
