That car is fitted with a 300 bhp 5 ltr TVR engine with mega torque.
[as Mr Hammond explains]

It is only when the car is racing in FIA events do 32mm restrictors need to be fitted, which reduces the power.

The car can easily be fitted with different transfer boxs which can give the car neck breaking acceleration and a top speed of 100mph or a high top end speed with less acceleration.

The car is fitted with 'ballast' to give the fia weight of 1850kg.

UK weight will be 1580kg

The British know how to make cars, America knows how to make fast cars. (Though that's just a response to a dumb comment, in reality they both know how to make cars of course).

User avatar

venom  16y ago

yes since they know how to build good cars it will magically be faster with less force pushing a higher amount of mass with the same amount of traction lol

User avatar

BumRush  16y ago

everyone know that the British can build good car..lol but dont underestimate them Crazy Americans..lol and i can believe this cars straightline speed, but that top speed with this cars power and aerodynamics is highly doubtfull.

User avatar

woop  16y ago

u tell em mat m8...us brits kno how to make cars....in the back of a shed with limited tools an a huge loan haha

User avatar

Matt Weeks  16y ago

I'm guessing you guys are American, the British know how to build cars...

This is capable of those speeds, I thought it did 60 in less than 4.8s though...

And gearing....

User avatar

really good awd system and awesome tyres.

User avatar

0-100 in 4.8?
How do you do that in only 218 hp offroader that weighs nearly 2 tonnes?

User avatar

k-biggs  16y ago

agreed, theres no way it could achieve 160. even on straight tarmac. 220 horses would get a coupe to probably 140 or 150.

User avatar

Anonymous  16y ago

159mph with 220bhp and its aerodynamics? my ass..

User avatar

venom  16y ago

its not gonna go 160! more like 110-120 but on pretty much anything.....
