This engine wasn't heavy for it's time technology and displacement. For example 1992 Dodge Viper engine weighted 323 kg, and this car successor Veyron engine weighted 430 kg.

I whish someone would make those 10+ lites engines nowadays.
Im tired of small unrealible turbocharged engines.

With current modern tehnology engine should be much lighter as well.
