I can't wait to see what this thing will do with at least 100 more hp, a manual, and hopefully some weight savings.
Something this small with 3500lbs or less and a screaming V8 would be an awesome daily driver.

It is a match for the 335i, check the specs, and I'm even surprised to say it has a nicer interior, which you couldn't say about US cars only last year.

Right now it is not a match for a BMW, needs a "V" version to do that

It doesn't match it in torque but it will surpass it in fuel economy, barely, as the cts 3.6, 600 lbs heavier, gets almost as many US mpg as the 335i. As for emissions, that matters very much in europe but not so much in the US. Also, GM already use this 3.6 V6 in many other cars, and it performs well, so why spend tons of money designing a new engine?

Very interesting. But why naturally aspirated engine? That is so backwards...

Can't match 335 in low end torque, fuel economy or emissions.

GMs 335i fighter, lets see the ATS-V, please!
