BTW, the image's background is beautiful, as well, the paintwork of the car. But still, I'm not a fan of the CTS's design, especially I don't like headlights.

Needs some stuff to be updated:

• Displacement - 3564 cc;
• Power - 420 hp @ 5750;
• Torque - 430 lb-ft @ 3500;
• Curb weight - 3966 lb (1802 kg);
  And dimensions, if it's important enough. Yeah, and the 2013 introduction year and US origin.

As well, performance data:

• Top speed - 172 mph (277 kph);
• 0-60 - 4.4 sec;
• 0-100 - 10.5 sec;
• 1/4 mile - 12.9 @ 111 .

The CTS is not in the same class as the 3 series.

Its a midsize, so its competitors are the e-class, 5 series, a6, etc.

The vsport is meant to compete with the 550i, s6, and e500, hence the price tag.

MSRP has been announced at $46,025 for the standard CTS, and $59,995 for this "Vsport" model(could someone put in the correct name?).

Oddly, that price will put the Vsport in direct competition with the BMW M3. I find this strange, because that is supposed to be the job of the ATS-V, which will have the same TTV6, slated for 2014 as a 2015 model. Perhaps this Vsport is simply a placeholder for the ATS-V? Because I highly doubt GM will have them both on sale at the same time, at similar price points, with similar specs; the last thing they want is to cannibalize their own sales.

Its not that i dont like them, i just prefer Coupes over Saloons, Coupes have a more beautiful shape and body lining, the window shape, the door shape, the rear appatcher, everything from A coupe just has a lovelier shape, And performance coupes just seem more right. Not saying a M5 or anything of the like is bad, but just think how much better a M5 or Quattroporte would look if they had an elegant Coupe shape, Just look at how better a C63 AMG, M135i, Bentley BrookLands, Civic, Accord, G37S look in there Coupe forms compared to there Saloon forms. Weight loss is nice too.

Saloons have there benefit, but i dont have kids, and my wife prefers the bed lol so i dont see the poing in myslef owning one, ive never owned a Saloon, and dont intend for myself to "Buy" one.

Yeah, I'm not a 4-door person either. Every car I've owned has always been a coupe...

@ BR2': You don't like sedans, either, huh? When I was a teenager, my dad was in the market for a new car and he wanted a coupe, my mom told him that if he got a 2 door, he'd have to sit in the back seat everywhere we went. LOL

Nah, they destroyed it with that rear end, that shpe shouldnt have made it to production, i think they should have made it more C63 shape, along with having the same exhaust style as the V saloon, Damn shame too, Im not a 4 door guy, so i was really excited bout the coupe.

@ BR2,... you really didn't like the CTS Coupe? To each there own I suppose. I'll admit that styling isn't for everyone. But personally I love the look of the coupe.

Im liking that the cars arent so square designed like the 1st 2 generations.

And im REALLY Hoping they dont mess up a Coupe version, that last one looked like a Dogs Dinner, just ghastly.

That is a beautiful interior, the exterior looks nice, too, nothing like the 1st generation CTS.

The interior looks absolutely gorgeous. But I'm not sure about it's exterior. The front is great, but overall it's looks heavy, more like an S-Class, guess I'll just have to wait for the next V:)

I'd have the CTS with a manual transmission, and with the 8 speed automatic, it kind of reminds me of BMW and Lexus, I like it, Cadillac is really stepping up their game, but to be honest, I like the looks of this generation's CTS/V better, it looks more agressive.

@ monkeypop: Yeah, it was kind of the same with my Dodge, I can't tell you how many people offered to buy my truck from me, I always have the same answer, I plan to drive it until the wheels fall off, put them back on, and drive it some more.

Yes Monkey its also available with a 6-Speed manual transmission as an option, Although, i dont see many getting that with this particular car.

Back on topic, I see this CTS is offered with a 8 speed auto. Good lord I bet it is constantly shifting. Just 20 years ago you could still get a car with a 3 speed auto.. now they are making 8 speeds. Hope it isnt like many of the new autos with lots of speeds that limit power between shifts. Those can really suck the life out of otherwise really good engines.

Please someone tell me they will offer a manual.. PLEASE!!!! One day I will either be stuck buying nothing but older cars with manuals or trying to convert a new model to manual using a crate transmission. Wouldnt that be the pits.. having to tear apart a brand new ride because I despise autos.

Good thing you passed on that Colorado. In the mid-size pickup market those are the worst value for your money IMO. The engines and features of those suck compared to what others offer. A friend of mine got rid of his after seeing and riding in my frontier.. he couldnt believe he paid as much for the Colorado as I did the nissan.

The new generation frontiers are very impressive but they have become to big for the four cylinder IMO. The 4.0 V6 makes 265bhp and 280ft-lb which was the most powerful used in its class at the time I bought mine. Very easy to get them over 300hp with minimal cost. They have either a 5 speed auto or 6 speed manual.

With the wide open throttle restriction removed mine runs 0-60 in just over 6 seconds and the passing power is fantastic for a pickup.

My 09 frontier now has well over 100k very rough miles.. not a SINGLE thing has gone wrong. Not even a button has stopped working.

Some of the Chrysler's still have reliability issues. My friends 300 stalls if he fills the fuel tank all the way and my friends new jeep keeps failing to go into overdrive due to faulty buttons. It sounds like trivial stuff but when you buy a new ride NOTHING should go wrong.

Yeah that could be the case but yet and still trans failure at 30k miles is unacceptable. Besides that the car had the infamous always on check engine light that most GM's of the day had.

Seems that back in late 90's and early 00's all the chryslers had bogus electronics. I have a 99 jeep that suffers from electronic gremlins and shorts all the time. Their wiring harnesses corrode and stop making contact and its a bitch to take them all apart and clean them.

I bought that 4X4 Jeep from a guy for $600 because the radiator was leaking and he couldn't afford a tow back to his town. One of the only times a reliability issue worked out in my favor.

When I had a noise coming from the Chrysler car I have and inspected the struts I couldnt believe they made the mounts out of foam. All four mounts had turned to dust. I ranted and raved about that for weeks. Just cannot fathom why they would use foam instead of rubber.

@ monkeypop: Yeah, those V6 Frontiers are powerful, my Dakota has the 3.7 liter V6 making 210 horsepower and 235 LBS FT of torque mated to the 4 speed automatic, the most standard horsepower in its class when it was sold, people who ride with me think my truck has a V8, I have to tell them it's a V6, and they look surprised, it isn't the fastest pick-up I've ever driven, but I have no trouble passing, that's what I need most for all the highway driving I do, passing power.

@ monkeypop: Nissan Hardbody and Frontier pick-ups have always been stout, tough, and dependable little trucks, my Grandpa in Annapolis Maryland had a burgundy 1988 Nissan Hardbody extended cab, 4 cylinder, 5 speed. He traded it in for a brand new 1997 Mazda ProtƩgƩ, the truck was running just fine.

@ monkeypop: My Grandma bought a 1991 Toyota Previa minivan brand new in September of 1990, I was so small and so young, then, that I was able to stand straight up in it like a bus, 11 years went by, she still had it, I even drove it to school a few times, 10 years later, in 2011, Grandma came down with Alzheimer's, when she was of sound mind, she told me the van was mine when she couldn't drive anymore, she died less than 2 months after being admitted to a nursing home, the old Toyota was still running flawlessly, I drove it to work a couple times, I was up in North Carolina for my Grandfather's funeral when I let my uncle have it, I already had a truck, and can't really afford insurance and gas on 2 vehicles, and at least it stayed in the family, my stepdad drove it from our home in Georgia to my aunt's house in Concord North Carolina, the van had no problems, my uncle drove it from there to his house in Deleware, a total of around 700 miles, the van ran flawlessly, it blew a head gasket last year, he plans on fixing Eggy. 21 years and well over 250,000 miles, can anyone say reliability?

I talked to a woman who has a 2009 Chevrolet Colorado pick-up, she had to replace the transmission after only 8,000 miles. I've heard nothing but complaints about Chevrolet Colorados, my grandfather had one, he died about a year and a half ago and my grandmother has it, I've driven it a couple times to take my garbage off, (I live in a rural area) It wasn't half bad, but then again, it has the 2.8 liter inline 4, I once considered getting a used 2005 Colorado crew cab, but the dealership I was going to get it from turned me down because I had no credit, even though my dad would have cosigned. My mom and I were running errands and she had me stop at the local Chrysler dealership where we looked at vehicles, the salesman had me look at a 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix, (Heck no!, this was just after mine self destructed), a Jeep Compass, not bad, but I needed a truck, and a 2008 Dodge Dakota, which I test drove, fell in love with, and bought about 2 weeks later.
