The Cadillac STS-V may not be faster than an M or AMG sedan in a straight-line, but what does make up for the "slow" performance is the track-tuned enhancements which place the sports sedan above average in dynamics for its weight range.
It does NOT compete with any high-performance German; however, it does compete with the short-wheelbase variants of the Lexus LS460 and BMW 750i, as well as the Jaguar XJR and to a lesser degree, the Audi S8 V10 and Maserati Quattroporte.
